The Plankhouse Village concept reimagines the traditional ideas of close-knit communities and shared space through a modern lens. The design focuses on the creation of shared outdoor spaces that connect individual dwellings. The dwellings themselves are modestly sized and adaptable to various layouts and family make-ups. The shared spaces are created between the paired structures and are joined by elevated pathways. The shared outdoor space can host a variety of activities, such as gathering around the fire, maintaining a garden, and processing harvested game.
